Got a size large men's merino wool vest, barely fits (usually wear men's size medium, this was supposed to be a large so I could layer underneath, not going to work for original trip purpose)...but quality looks good

First I really like merino wool for its list of advantages like insulating, thermo-regulating, odor control and easy cleanup. This vest is styled with good looks and a good fit. I appreciate the expandable side panels and the collar that is smooth and just the right height to keep my neck warm and block wind. A nice modern style and attention to detail make this a very desirable product. If you are looking for a stylish comfortable and functional vest then you just found it.

The vest looks and feels better than pictured. Materials and workmanship feel high quality and warm enough for cooler weather. The fit is on point for the most part, but I wish the neck wasn't quite as tight. I always wear M and I like how snug the vest feels, but fully zipped up the neck is almost chocking. The outside pockets could also be a bit more ergonomic to put hands in when used as an outside layer, but at this point I'm nitpicking. All in all, a really nice vest, can't wait to see how it holds up over time.

I just received this vest, in preparation for a mountain trip where I'm expecting wind and cooler temperatures. The fit is perfect (I'm 6'2", 190 lbs). The feature set seems more useful than the typical fleece garment, especially with the outer shell to cut the wind. The side panels seem to expand for thicker garments. So far so good.

This vest is the perfect combination of fit and comfort. The side pockets are roomy. The simple insertion of stretch fabric into the lower side seam makes all the difference in comfort. The fit is a bit snug but that's OK for a vest like this. I normally wear a size L but Amazon suggested a M for this item. I took their suggestion and if feels great.
